Today’s Ecommerce Marketplace – The Anti-Supersize

Having a problem getting through to your website visitors?
Are they consistently having a problem finding what they need?
When all else fails, downsize.
You read that right, I said downsize! Now let me put that statement into context before everyone gets their hackles up and I become the latest death-by-blogging victim.
If your website has grown over the years you should be happy about it, but if it has become an unmanageable beast full of outdated databases and shopping cart applications, maybe it is time to step back and take a look at what you’re doing.
How bloated is your site, and for what reason(s)? If you don’t know by now then let me be the first to break the news to you – bigger is not necessarily better these days. Tons of content is only useful if the content is SEO friendly and relevant to what your potential customers are looking for, and then only if the navigation is such that the content can be quickly and easily found.
A custome design ecommerce site is not as expensive and inaccessible as it used to be and tomorrow I will be sharing with you yet another in the string of new ecommerce success stories that the ECP team has expertly crafted and worked millions of man hours on. No seriously, those web design folks work harder than the window washers at busy intersections of major cities – these people are ecommerce web site development gurus!
Long story short, take a look at what you’ve got. If it needs a makeover, get one. If it needs new content or a fresh update to what is there, do it. I’ve said it before and I will say it again – Give people what they want quickly or they will find someone else who will.
