Upon entering the Javits Center, I was immediately hit by the energy of retailers and vendors alike, as they scrambled to prepare for the immense event that is the NRF Retail’s BIG Show. (The jitters of anticipation were nearly as palpable as the waves of Wi-Fi, on which all of us tech junkies thrived throughout the course of the expo.)
The volume of new technology and concepts on display at the expo was absolutely inspiring. To me, it exemplified the fact that the retail sector is back on track and the economy is recovering.
If you are in the e-tail space, the BIG Show was the place to be for the past three days; everyone from giants like Oracle to more boutique companies like Ferret were in attendance. The overall experience was nothing short of astounding.
In 2015, like never before, e-tailers will be able to connect , engage, and attract customers across a multitude of digital touch-points. It was invigorating for me and my team to witness so much innovation in one venue.
The focal point of the conference and clearly a main takeaway from the BIG Show was the fact that Big Data and technology have merged and swelled to a new, historical height. If obstinate retailers refuse to adapt to this new age of digital revolution, they will end up like the dinosaurs: EXTINCT.
If you attended Retail’s BIG Show, too, what was your favorite aspect of the expo?
