Home Based Internet Business is Alive and Well

While the economy is in the toilet, it would seem that home based businesses are doing just fine, thank you.
According to a recent piece on WebWire, the U.S. Department of Labor says that over 20 million people had work-at-home businesses in 2004, and estimated that by 2025 half of all working Americans will be working -at least in part – from home.
A report by the Social Security Administration showed the frightening statistic that as many as 85% of Americans who reach retirement age (65) have less than $250 in savings, with less than 2% being self-sustaining. If these numbers are to be believed, about 98% of Americans don’t retire with the money they need to live the lives they have earned through years of hard work.
With that in mind it isn’t hard to understand why so many people are flocking to the online business industry for an alternative to the 9-to-5 lifestyle.
